Our Beloved Father Yousif Safar passed away on Monday October 5th, 2020 at 4pm in the afternoon in his home surrounded by his loved ones.  We are brokenhearted, but are comforted by the fact that he is in peace resting in the arms of our Lord and Savior.  Our father lived a long and meaningful life where he was a pillar in his community, businesses, and churches. Our father loved classical music, fine arts, philosophy, poetry and history.  He was a master in calligraphy and started his career hand painting signage in churches in Jerusalem.  His life was filled with the love of his family and we are so grateful for that.  He leaves behind his Wife Abla, Son John, Daughters Ghadah, Nada, Lina, Lara, Mary.  He was also blessed to know his seven grandchildren Tom, Jacob, Kayla, Lorissa, Faith, Ava and Luca Joseph.  He loved his Daughter-in-law Marina and Son-in-laws George, Yosef, and David greatly .  Please pray for us as we mourn the loss of our father.  We will miss him beyond measure.

Funeral Services will be on Monday October 12th, 2020 at Pacific Crest Cemetery in Redondo Beach, CA at 1:30 pm.

  6. candle 7I miss you baba, the light of my life. Things feel empty without you here, you were a big presence in our lives you made everything fun and worthwhile. I know you’re in a better place, as they say, but I can’t think of a better place for you to be other than with us. It is especially hard that the holidays are upon us, you loved the holidays. I find comfort in the fact that you’re watching over me, I feel like I have an advocate in heaven relaying messages and prayers to our lord. Thank you baba for everything, for loving me, teaching me and all of your guidance throughout my 42 years on earth. I promise to continue to make you proud. I feel honored to be your daughter and I will make sure to never forget you. I will make sure that the shark never ever forgets you, ever. Go rest in eternal peace, until we meet again my love, my heart, my soul.
