Wilna
Herbaugh, Wilna Honora Browning, a 35 year resident of Torrance, passed away at home with her family by her side, on Sunday, July 15, 2007 in Torrance. Born in Hazard, Kentucky, Wilna was 70 when she died. She had a wonderful spirit about her and always had a smile on her face for you. Wilna was a teacher at Coast Christian School & Community Baptist School in Redondo Beach. Years ago she taught at St. James Catholic School, as well. She loved teaching and received so much joy from all her students and their accomplisments. Wilna was an accomplished gardner and had beautiful flowers blooming all year round which reflected her personality. Wilna loved the lord and was involved in many different bible studies over the years. Wilna was extremely proud of her children and loved all of her family unconditionally. She is survived by Husband, James Herbaugh of Torrance, CA; Son, James Herbaugh III of Torrance, CA; Son, Billy C. Herbaugh of Torrance, CA; Daughter, Rosemary "Lynne" Hutchinson of Sparks, NV; Brother, Lloyd (Marcella) Browning of Louisa, KY; Sister, Jessie Murray of Mt. Vernon, KY; Sister, Atha (Robert) Stigall of Danville, KY; and 3 Grandchildren, Benjamin, Ashley, and Ian Hutchinson. Preceded in death by her Parents Vivian and William Browning. Rice Mortuary, in Torrance, will have a viewing for family & friends from 4-6 pm on Wednesday, July 18, 2007 with a memorial immediately following at 6pm. Burial will take place in Hartford City, Indiana later in the week.

  5. I have wonderful memories of Wilna in our Bible studies classes through the First United Methodist Church of Torrance. I am so grateful for the times we all gathered together to study, pray, and support each other. She was a loving and caring person and I will miss her.
