William Harlan Cloud, a 21 year resident of Carson, California, passed away on Saturday, May 8, 2010 in Carson, California. Born in Darby, Pennsylvania, William was 83 when he died. Following High School Graduation he joined the Navy. After serving his country during World War Two he lived in Seattle for a few years before settling in the South Bay, living in Torrance, Gardena and Carson. William was a 50 year member of the Gardena Moose where he was Governor, Secretary and the highly esteemed title of Pilgrim for many of those years. He was also longtime member of the Gardena Elks, Amvets and VFW. He was a loving Father and friend to many who always had a kind word and a laugh for all who knew him. He will be greatly missed. William is survived by his Son, Dan (Kathy) Cloud of Costa Mesa, California, Daughter, Leslie (Paul) Turner of Alpine, Wyoming and Granddaughter, Kristen Smith of Cypress, California. He was preceded in death by his parents Loretta and William Cloud. The Service will be held on Friday, May 14, 2010 at 2:00 PM In St. Anthony's Church. The reception will follow from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Gardena Moose Lodge.
