Bill King, a long time resident of Manhattan Beach, passed away on Wednesday, March 7, 2007 . Bill, William Ernest, was born in Long Beach Ca. on April 10 1942. He grew up in Wilmington Ca, graduated from Banning High School and later from Cal Poly Pamona. After a successful career in the computer field, Bill retired and spent his time enjoying life. He took great pleasure in mornings of golf lazy days at the beach. He loved traveling, driving his Corvette, and an occasional glass of fine wine. Bill will be remembered for his outgoing personality, his wonderful sense of humor, and his devotion to family and friends. He will be missed by all those who knew him. Bill is survived by his wife, Linda; son, Patrick and daughter in law, Jeannie; daughter, Lindsay, and son-in-law Loren; and two grandchildren, Sophia and Margaux. There will be a celebration of Bill's life, Saturday, March 17 at 11:00 a.m. on the beach at First Street in Manhattan Beach. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Memory of William King to USC/Norris Ciomprehensive Cancer Center, 1441 Eastlake Avenue, Room 8302, Los Angeles, CA 90033.
