  1. June 27, 2011 Dear Barbara and Family, Condolences to you all. What a wonderful man and officer William was! We know him from his many official police dept.visits to my 6th grade class, Room 11, at St. Anthony of Padua Elementary School in Gardena, years ago. He was there to teach the students about avoiding drugs and gangs. He would teach in 2 sixth grade classrooms for weeks, and for several years. There were about 35 students in each class yearly. My fellow teacher was Mrs. Natividad Ballesteros in Room 12. He taught with a serious, firm attitude but he also used humor which helped everyone to learn within a cheerful environment. My family and I just learned of his passing into heaven the other day. We will be mailing you a remembrance Mass card. With all our respect and love, Eleanor Rose Bersano, Elaine Bersano, sisters
