Arranaga, Vivian, "Aunt Vivi", a 76 year resident of the South Bay and resident of Manhattan Beach, passed away on Saturday, February 14, 2009 in Torrance. Born in Los Angeles, California, Vivian was 76 when she died. Vivian went to Huntington Park High School. She worked first for her brother Vincent then for many years with her brother Robert in wholesale food supply. She was a kind, generous and loving daughter, sister, mother, aunt and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all of us. She is survived by her daughter, Kathy (Jim) Wagner of Manhattan Beach, CA; sister Aurora Saldamando of Torrance, CA; brother Leopoldo (Georgette) Arranaga of Newport Beach, CA; brother Robert (Lilia) Arranaga of Long Beach, CA; Richard (Joy) Arranaga of LaHabra, CA; and two grandchildren, Riley, age 13, and Jason, age 9, Wagner of Manhattan Beach. Vivi was preceded in death by her parents, Diego and Susanna Arranaga; her sister Adele Verdugo; brothers Bernardo and Salvador Arranaga; sister Clotilde Larini, and brother Vincent Arranaga. The Service will be held at American Martyrs Catholic Church in Manhattan Beach on Thursday February 19, 2009 at 11am. Inurnment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

  1. Vivian was a good friend and co-worker for several years when I lived in Los Angeles and worked for her brother’s, Robert “Bobby” and Richard. She was a kind person to all and she was also very close to my Grandmother Rebecca. I lost touch with the Arranaga family after I left, but I always thought of her and her family.
