Level, Virginia Constance Kramer ("Connie"), 69, of Palos Verdes Estates, CA passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2013 from cancer. Connie was born in Detroit, MI on December 23, 1943. She was a graduate of Royal Oak Shrine High School and Marygrove College. In her more than 20 years living in the South Bay, Connie was an active member of St. Lawrence Martyr Catholic Church and the Autry National Center Board of Trustees. She was an avid gardener, cook and book lover among other interests. Connie is survived by her husband of 47 years, Leon J. Level of Palos Verdes Estates, CA; her daughter Andrea Level, son-in-law Jens Welter and their 3 children - Naomi, Daphne and Felix Welter - all of London, England; her daughter Aileen Level of Santa Monica, CA; her brothers Charles W. Kramer (Vivienne) of Cedar Brook, NJ; and Fr. Thomas J. Kramer of Dearborn Heights, MI. Connie is also survived by her loving mother-in-law, nieces, nephews and a host of long-time friends. A gathering of family & friends will be held at Rice Mortuary in Torrance on Monday July 29, 2013 from 5-9pm with a Vigil at 7pm. Mass will be at St. Lawrence Martyr Catholic Church in Redondo Beach on Tuesday July 30 at 10am. Private burial will take place at Green Hills Memorial Park in Rancho Palos Verdes. A Memorial Service will be held in Michigan at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Autry National Center Endowment Fund or Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for Cancer Research (attention Dr. Richard Tuli).
