Violet Marjorie Dahnke

Marjorie Violet Dahnke April 28, 1923 - June 13, 2014 Marjorie, the daughter of Elmer and Esther Swanson, was born in Cadillac, Michigan on April 28, 1923. She joined her Lord in heaven on June 13, 2014. Marjorie, beloved wife to preceded Raymond Dahnke, they were happily married for 42 years; mother to two daughters Carolyn and Janet (Scott); predeceased by sister Irene; aunt to John (Donna), Carole (Craig), (Brad); grandmother to Christy, Erik, Steven (Annie), Laura (Justin), Kathryn, Steven (Geraldina), and great- grandmother to Owen. Marjorie moved to Los Angeles, California when she was six years old in 1929 with her family. Moved to Redondo Beach in October 1952 and went to work for the Redondo Beach Library (1958). She was the center of the family, and she will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, family requests donations made to the Arthritis Foundation. Visitation will be held at 5:00PM - 9:00PM on Thursday, June 19, 2014 at White and Day Mortuary, on Sepulveda Blvd., Manhattan Beach, CA 90266. On Friday June 20, 2014, Burial will be at 2:00PM at Pacific Crest Cemetery, 2701 182nd Street, Redondo Beach, CA 90278. The Funeral Services will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday June 21st at First Lutheran Church, 1100 Poinsettia Street, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266.
