Resided in: Redondo Beach, CA

Our Vincent Joshua Birchfield (known as Joshua), a 34 year old male from Redondo Beach, California, tragically passed away Wednesday September 14th, 2022. He and his twin brother were born at South Bay Hospital on February 22nd, 1988, the son of Vincent Walter Birchfield and Lori Joan Sitman, who deeply loved him and considered him the favorite.

He was one of eight children, a beloved twin, and the oldest son. He and his family are a tight bunch that loves each other deeply. Family values were first and foremost to him. Joshua was the glue that held his family together. He was everyone’s favorite person and best friend. He was an obedient son who honored his parents. He had deep, meaningful relationships with both parents and each and every one of his siblings and nephews. He was a peacemaker, a problem solver, a fixer, and protector. He was the type of man who led by example with great strength, dignity, and humility.  He was the kind of brother everyone wished they could have. He was the one they all could always count on, no matter what. No obstacle was too high to reach. He was in everyone’s corner, completely selfless, putting the needs of his family and others before his own, never expecting anything in return. Besides his physical acts of kindness, he also built you up emotionally and spiritually. He tirelessly worked to help all his family and anyone who needed it. Our Joshua was a kind soul who loved everyone deeply with words and actions as Jesus did. He had the spirit of joy and the most contagious smile and laugh that could uplift any hurting soul. He was and forever will be the favorite special one.

Joshua was the kind of person that would pull over on the side of the road to help a complete stranger. Joshua would help out the little guy who was being bullied. You could always call Joshua at 2am if you had a bad dream. He would be there for you until you felt better or drifted to sleep. Joshua was very caring and loving. He would protect or defend anyone that needed it. Joshua would always do what was right, no matter what. Joshua was an amazing man. When you were around Joshua you instantly felt safe and secure like everything was going to be ok. He never judged or looked down on anyone. He treated everyone as an equal.

Josh started working construction with his dad and twin brother at 9 years old. He perfected demolition, concrete, asphalt, driving dump trucks, bobcats, and concrete pumping. He also was a mechanic and plumber, he was incredibly strong and intelligent, always researching how to start new projects and tirelessly working to efficiently complete them. He was incredibly talented and multifaceted which allowed him to continue to bless everyone around him.  He never complained about anything or his work loads. He did everything with a smile on his face. He was on a mission to bless other people. He was a high-achieving worker that would start early and get off late. His high-quality work, and attention to detail that he committed to every job was unbeatable.

Joshua attended school in Redondo Beach from Head Start to Birney Elementary to Adam’s Middle School to Redondo Union High School,  graduating  in 2006. He was on the wrestling team all four years of school, and  won league on multiple occasions. He was a great asset and champion of the team. He also had very strong friendships and brotherhood with his varsity wrestling teammates. He was well known and liked by all, having a contagious personality that drew everyone in. He was very popular and outgoing. Joshua was  always loving,  so energetic, and had the best attitude.

Joshua enjoyed riding dirt bikes and Go peds. He practiced his expertise in mechanics on dirt bikes, Go peds, and cars. He was the mechanic of the family who did amazing work on everyone’s cars. He also loved riding skateboards.

He loved vibrant colors and had a great sense of style. He was a very handsome man, built very strong and in great shape. He had the most beautiful hazel green eyes with the most gorgeous eyelashes with length that cannot be compared and an unforgettable smile. He was somebody that you could talk to for hours and never skip a beat. Joshua would make the best first impressions that could stick with somebody for a lifetime. He was an unforgettable person with a heart of gold that loved everyone. He truly was the cornerstone of his family. He will always be deeply loved and missed.

Joshua leaves behind his Mother Lori Sitman, Father Vincent Birchfield, eldest sister Natasha Birchfield, Twin brother James ”Diamond” Birchfield, Sister Hannah Birchfield, Sister Alyssa

Birchfield, Brother Clayton Birchfield, Sister Shaelyn Birchfield, and youngest brother Tyler Birchfield, his eldest nephew Toby Rogers/Birchfield, Ryker Birchfield, and Wyatt Birchfield. All who are completely devastated and miss him very much.
