Ode to our loved "taxi-wallah"
It is with deep regret and a heavy heart that I put up the sign "Not in Service".
The "taxi-wallah" has gone Home to rest.
It is also with tremendous respect that I refer to our Uncle Victor as the taxi-wallah:
You were our guardian – the taxi light was always "On".
You picked us up from all places and
at all times.
You taught us how to drive, instilled in us the courage and confidence to go forth without fear.
You "fixed" everything for us.
You provided for us a home away from home, listened attentively to our trials and tribulations and always replied with your single word of wisdom "Umph".
You came to all our events, cheered us on and picked us up when we were down.
You visited with all of us with no prejudice.
You were the pillar that kept
our family together.
So, on this day as we say "Goodbye" to you, we would also like to say "Thank you".
Love and God Bless.
Note: 1 bag = "muth"
2 bags = "Chai"
