Veronica Emaline Simonetti, a 56 year resident of the South Bay, passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2011 in Torrance. Born in Louisville, KY, Veronica was 87 when she died. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Redondo Beach. Veronica is survived by sons, Steven (Debra Ann) Simonetti of Redondo Beach, CA and John A. (Debbie) Simonetti of La Mesa, CA; daughters, Susan (Bill) LiCausi of Avalon, CA and Donna (Roy) Rasera of Lake Oswego, OR; brother, Don (Elsie) Feller of Valparaiso, IN; sister, Eileen Roberts of Chicago, IL; 11 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leander and Veronica Feller; great grandchild, Trevor Phillip Simonetti; and husband of 45 years, James Simonetti. A gathering of family & friends will be held at White & Day Colonial Mortuary in Redondo Beach on Friday May 6, 2011 from 5 to 9pm with a Vigil Service at 7pm. The Mass will be held on Saturday May 7, 2011 at St. James Catholic Church in Redondo Beach on Saturday at 10:30am. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Culver City. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Catholic Charities.
