Vaughn

August 8, 1950 ~ January 23, 2023

Born in: Fresno, California
Resided in: Torrance, California

Vaughn Bishop, of Torrance, went home to the Lord on January 23, 2023 after a long battle with kidney cancer. He passed at home with Megann by his side. He was born on August 8,1950 in Fresno, California to Norma and Lucas Bishop. He grew up in Collins, Missouri and was very much the southern gentleman. He graduated from Humansville High School class of 1968. He was a plumbing contractor and the proud owner of “The Plumbing Works” for the last 40 years. Over the years he would run into young men that he had taught the plumbing trade and the value of a strong work ethic. He was humbled when they would thank him for what he had taught them.

He loved the many years that he had spent coaching his grandsons and the friends he made on the little league field. Vaughn was a die hard Dodger and Chiefs fan. Unfortunately he passed before he saw the Chiefs win the Super Bowl.

He is survived by Megann Lee, who he met in 2007, and they have been inseparable life partners ever since. Vaughn lit up Megann’s life with so much love, laughter and adventure. He was an amazing step-father to Devin (Karly), Andy, and Zachary Lee. He was also the step-father to Charlene Partida, and grandfather to Pete and Tony Partida. He was the younger brother to Lucia Brundage and Delynn Bishop. He was preceded in death by his father Lucas and mother Norma, and sisters Zelda Kelly and Laurel Pipes, daughter Charlene, infant son Ryan and grandson Tony. He also had several nieces and nephews that he dearly loved and will be missed by them.
