Travis
Hannah, Travis Ian, an 18-year-old resident of El Segundo, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 21, 2009. Travis was a freshman at Santa Monica Community College and had recently been accepted to the Musicians Institute to pursue his dream of working in the music industry. Travis attended El Segundo High School. He loved baseball, travel, swimming and sushi. Travis truly understood and appreciated the value of friendship and family, and his sense of humor and loyalty will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know him. Travis is survived by his father, Kevin Kelly, of El Segundo; grandparents, Twyla and Jack Hannah, brother Ryan, and Laurie of Gilbert, AZ; grandmother, Barbara Kelly of Roseville, MN; and many, many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Preceded in death by Jack E. (Jay) Hannah III and Wendy Hannah. A gathering of family and friends was held at White and Day Mortuary in Manhattan Beach on Tuesday. The service will be held at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in El Segundo on Wednesday, November 25, 2009, at 10:00 a.m., followed by a Celebration of Life Reception in the church hall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Travis Hannah Scholarship Fund (via check) at The Musicians Foundation, c/o Beth Marlis, 6752 Hollywood Blvd., CA 90028. The scholarship fund will enable others who share Travis' passion to pursue a career in the music industry. 1. Dear Kevin, I cannot imagine the depth and pain of your loss. Travis was a wonderful friend, like a brother to my son, Peter. I cannot thank you and Travis enough for all you have been and done for Peter during the past several years. I cannot thank Travis enough to sharing you with Peter. I am so terribly sorry. Scott and I and our whole family share your grief and so wish we could ease your sorrow. Marian
