Tina L. Wilmington
Harbor City, California/Akron, Ohio
Tina Lou Wilmington (nee Dempsey), 45, went home to be with the Lord on September 29, 2015, with her loving husband and devoted family by her side. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend to MANY.
Tina strived to leave a legacy of hope and love and was a godly role model to her children and many others. Tina loved the Lord and fought courageously in her battle with cancer.
Tina worked in the banking industry for over 25 years. She was an active member in her church and served as an assistant treasurer along with the finance committee. She also served as a greeter, always having a warm smile, a friendly handshake or a big hug for everyone she met. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
She touched the lives of many and had a heart of gold, generous and giving to everyone.
Tina is survived by her husband Oscar Wilmington of 16 years; sons Devvon and Derrick; step sons Daryn and Dante, Palm Beach, FL; mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth and Linda Dempsey, Akron, OH; sisters Tammy (Lance) Farrell, Akron, OH and Teresa Key, Easily, SC and many nieces and nephews; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar and Arthurene Wilmington, Ravenna, OH; Mrs. Wilmington lovingly known to Tina as G-mama; sister-in-laws Carolyn (George) Ritchie, Garden Grove, CA and Evelyn Harris, Stow, OH; niece Jalon (Lamar) Helton, Toledo, OH and nephew Kamar (Laura) Ritchie, Cecilia, KY.
