Lowes, Thomas William, passed away on Monday, March 18, 2002 in Carson, CA. Tommy was born in Patton, PA, on March 10, 1916. He was the Past Master of the Masonic Lodge and served in the Army during W.W.II. He also belonged to the Elks Lodge, The American Legion, the V.F.W. and the Moose Lodge. He had many accomplishments in life including retiring from Todd Shipyards. He is survived by his daughter Candee Hackett of Carson; granddaughter Louise Elliott and her husband Scott of Redondo Beach; along with two sisters Mae Eckenrode and Elizabeth Rudy of Patton, PA. Visitation will be Sunday, March 24, from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Rice Mortuary, 5310 Torrance Blvd. in Torrance. Funeral Services will be held Monday, March 25th at 10:00 A.M. at the First United Methodist Church of Torrance, 1551 El Prado in Torrance. Burial will follow with procession to All Souls Cemetery in Long Beach, CA.

  1. DEAR CANDEE, LOUISE & SCOTT, WE ARE SO SORRY ON LOSING PAPA. WE HAVE SOME GREAT MEMORIES OF HIM IN THE TIMES THAT WE SPENT WITH HIM. THE LAST ONE IS THIS CHRISTMAS EVE. WHEN WE SAW THE PICTURE WITH HIS HAT IT REMIDED US HOW UPSET HE WAS THAT HE DIDN\’T HAVE HIS HAT. THAT HE ALWAYS WORE ONE AND HE COULDN\’T BELIEVE THAT HE DIDN\’T THAT NIGHT!!! AND HIS STORIES WERE ALWAYS FUN TO LISTEN TO. OUR THOUGHTS AND LOVE ARE WITH YOU. DEBBIE AND GARY
