Resided in: Gardena, CA

Thomas ‘Tom’ Joseph Ferreira, passed unexpectedly on August 3, 2020 at the age of 62 while on a cross country road trip and vacation visiting loved ones.

Tom is survived by his wife, Lori Ferreira (Mendoza); his daughter, Nikki Charriere (Ferreira); his sister, Kathy Lemke; his children by marriage, Scott Anthony, Melissa Fernanadez and Christina Anthony; his grandchildren; and his beloved sidekick Charlie (dog). He is predeceased by his mother, Norma Deal; his father Joseph Ferreira; and his sister, Cindy Bockman.

Tom was an avid lover of anything outdoors. He loved the adventure of sports fishing, camping, and exploring outside. He had a special endearment for Nascar memorabilia, as well as constructing RC motor crafts in fine detail and care – he had a keen eye and an affection for fine details. However, Tom’s biggest love and hobby was anything that included spending time with his family and grandchildren.

Tom spent most of his childhood in the LA/South Bay area, moving to Northern California into his adulthood and later spent time in Washington state. During this time he perfected his artistry as an auto body mechanic, applying those skills to his hobbies. After achieving sobriety in his more recent years, Tom went on to help others becoming a Certified Addiction Specialist and Counselor. His sobriety and admiration in ministering to others is the legacy by which he is defined.

The Ferreira family, and extended family, wish to express our deepest gratitude for the comfort given during our time of loss.
