Radford, Thomas Arnold a 58 year resident of Torrance passed away on Thursday, March 25, 2004 in Torrance. Born in Marlin, Texas, Thomas was 71. He had served in the Army during the Korea War and was a carpenter by profession. Thomas is survived by his children Mike and Tim Radford both of Torrance, CA, Tracy (Mike) Wallis of Elkgrove, CA, Mindy (Terry) Leaf of Yucaipa, CA and Tamara (Tony) Medeiros of Laguna Niguel, CA along with grandchildren Amberlee, Brandon, Michael II, Chandra, Kurt, Melissa, Christyl, Joshua, Paden and great-grandson Chase. Visitation will be held Monday, March 29 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at White and Day Colonial Chapel 901 Torrance Blvd. in Redondo Beach. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, March 30 at 3:00 PM in the Mortuary Chapel. Following services, a reception will be held at 5506 Carmelynn St., Torrance. Graveside Services will be held Thursday, April 1 at 1:00 PM at Pacific Crest Cemetery, 2701 W. 182nd Street in Redondo Beach. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Vitas Hospice, 990 W. 190th Street #120 Torrance, CA 90502 in memory of Thomas.
It was with great sadness when we learned of Comrade Radfords transfer to Post Everlasting. His memory will remain alive here at the American Legion South Bay Post 184 among the many friends and members that had the privilage to know him.
Tommy was a great person, he always greeted you with a smile and was really glad to see you. i had the the pleasure of working with Tommy, a true professional craftsman,and got to know him well. we bowled,played pool,we drank beer and we watched the dodgers and the rams. he was fun to be around and was truly a great guy. He will truly be missed by all that knew him. my condolences to Mike,Tim,Tracy,Mindy, Tamara and all your families at your time of sorrow. with deepest sorrow, tim schafer
