Theodore John Jennings died on May 12, 2019 at the age of 67 years old. He was the eldest of four children. He leaves behind his wife, Lavinia Margareta Jennings of twenty-five years and son, Ezekiel Jennings of Romania. He also leaves behind his mother, Grace Donlou Scott and siblings, Jon Jennings, Helen Jennings, Maria Cominis Glaudini and nephews Justin Jennings, Charles Glaudini and niece, Christa Jennings Penfold and aunts, uncles and many cousins. Predeceased by his father, Raymond Jennings and step fathers, John Cominis and Ralph Scott and grandparents Helen and John Donlou. Ted was an avid sports fan and closely followed the Dodgers and the Lakers. He was an alumni of South High School in Torrance, El Camino College and CSULB. He was a chemist, a teacher and traveled to Romania to do missionary work where he met his wife, Lavinia. He loved playing the guitar, helping those in need and walked a journey of faith in God. He is remembered by everyone as a kind, gentle spirit who would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. Due to health challenges, Ted had not worked for many years. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Services will be held at St. Katherine’s Greek Orthodox Church, Redondo Beach, CA.

  1. Theodore “Ted” was in my PE class in high school, freshman year I think. I didn’t know him, just an acquaintance. I just learned of his passing from the class of 1969 high school reunion book. It’s sad when one passes before his time.

    I wanted to express my condolences to his family and friends.
