Terry
Terry Lee Rachwitz, 49, passed away January 7, 2007. Born June 20, 1957 in Riverside, California he lived all his life in Southern California and the South Bay. Although "born to be wild" may describe his early years, Terry had accepted God into his life several years ago. He loved animals and lived peacefully with his five cats. He was a strong advocate for people less fortunate than himself, and shared his blessings with all who knew and loved him. His racing heritage, Harleys, and love of life gained him many lifelong friends. Terry is survived by his mother, Elaine, of Redondo Beach, sister Patty of Fountain Valley, brother Mike of Moreno Valley, three nieces and two nephews. He is preceded into Heaven by a nephew and his father, Keith "Porky" Rachwitz. A memorial service and reception celebrating Terry's life will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at Rice Mortuary 5310 Torrance Blvd., Torrance, CA 90503. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Terry's memory to: People and Cats Together, Box 133, Redondo Beach, CA 90277 (310) 230-5974 Messages of condolences may be forwarded to mrach@adelphia.net or www.LAfuneral.com

  1. I knew Terry about 20 yrs ago, but lost touch. I was saddened to hear of his passing. I’m glad he found God in his later years. Please find comfort in the fact that he’s in a better place now. As for myself, I will always remember with fondness his Born to be Wild days. LYNN

  2. I LOVE YOU UNCLE TERRY!!! The time we all have left here seems too long to go without being able to hear from you. But compared to eternity we have on the other side…it’s just a blink of an eye away. I’m so, so happy to know that you’re on the other side where we all meet up if we know it’s because of our Lord Jesus that we’re welcome there (and only because of Him). I know you knew that, Grandpa (Porky) knew that, Christopher (your nephew) knew that, your mom (grandma) your brother and sister, all your nieces and nephews and so many of your friends know that…God help us…all of em by the time their lives are up. I love you Uncle Terry and the one and only thing that consoles me is to know you’re doing better than any of us down here and are enjoying the time you’re spending with Grandpa, Christopher, and so many friends and relatives…And our beautiful Lord Jesus (Yeshua) Himself-live in the flesh…NOTHING compares to that! I look so forward to the day I come join you all. Til then…you’re in my heart and my daily thoughts. I LOVE YOU ALWAYS!!! CHEERS TO ETERNITY!!! Your Niece, Karlee
