November 26, 1915 ~ December 31, 2006
Kubo, Takashi, a 40 year resident of Long Beach, passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2006. Takashi was a member of the Seinan Dojo in Los Angeles and held a 3rd degree black belt in judo. Takashi served in the Army as a MIS interpreter during WWII. He also served in the Air Force.
He is survived by his daughter, Patti Yoshizawa, grandson, Mark (Kim) Yoshizawa, granddaughter, Tami (Kevin) Balasbas. Great-grandchildren: Marissa & Reece Yoshizawa, Kirra & Jason Balasbas. Brother-in-law Shigeru (Yoshie) Ibara, Sister-in-laws Chieko Amour, Margaret Moriyama and Shizuko Kubo. Many nephews and nieces.
Memorial service will be held at McMillian McCormick Mortuary in Gardena on Thursday, January 4, 2007 at 6pm.
