Suzanne Janet Soucy, a 12 year resident of Anaheim CA, passed away on Friday October 6, 2017 in Torrance, CA. Suzanne was 61 when she died. Suzanne was a member of St. Philomena Catholic Church and Santa Clara de Asis Catholic Church. Suzanne is survived by husband Henri James Soucy; mother Marie Claire Lacroix; daughter Nicole Marie Valencia; grand children Logan Christopher and Paige Nicole Mendoza; brothers Paul Lacroix, Ray Lacroix, Steve Lacroix and Norman Lacroix. She was preceded in death by father Leo Andrew Lacroix and sister Sandy Jean Perkins. Suzanne was born in St. Johnsbury, Vermont on August 2, 1956 to Leo and Marie Lacroix. She graduated from Carson High School in 1974 and worked full-time as a Budget Compiler at Northrop Grumman Corporation for 13 years after graduation. She retired in order to be there to take her daughter Nicole to school. She held many part-time positions that would always insure she could take and pick up Nicole at her elementary, junior and high schools. She was very involved attending all performances and competitions for her daughter Nicole and grand children Logan and Paige. Suzanne was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved scrapbooking, crocheting and cooking. She enjoyed traveling going to Japan twice, England twice, Ireland, and Belgium. In many trips to Las Vegas she enjoyed playing the slot machine Texas “T”. She was a devoted friend, loved board and card games, and religiously watched keeping the stats for Dancing with the Stars, The Voice, the Bachelor, and the Bachelorette. She rarely missed watching the Soap Operas Young & the Restless, and the Bold & the Beautiful. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all who knew her. A gathering of family and friends will be held on October 20, 2017 from 5:00pm until 9:00pm at Lighthouse Memorials & Receptions, McMillan Center, 1016 W. 164th St, Gardena, CA 90247. The Rosary recitation begins at 7:00pm. The Mass will be celebrated at St. Philomena Catholic Church, 21900 S. Main St, Carson, CA 90745 on October 21, 2017 at 10:30 am. Map to Holy Cross to be provided after the Mass. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery 5835 W. Slauson Ave, Culver City, CA 90230 on October 21, 2017 at 1:00 pm. Map to the reception to be provided after the Burial. Reception with a buffet of Suzanne’s famous recipes to follow at Lighthouse Memorials & Receptions, McMillan Center, 1016 W. 164th St, Gardena, CA 90247 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your favorite charity.
