  1. To the Blattspeiler Family, I send my regrets for not being able to make the ceremony on Saturday. I have a long term commitment that I need to take care of. I want you to know that I have lost a great friend and colleague in Steve. Steve and I have worked and played in many parts of the world. A lot of people did not get to know the real Steve, but I believe that I did. He talked about Megan wanting to be a model, but she was so intelligent he felt she could do anything that she wanted in life. He talked about Jason and how joining the service turned his life around and the fact that he is a very nice young man. He talked about Terri and the fact that he gave her the worst job in the world since she is in charge of the estate. As you know, Steve was not a religious man but as Will Rogers once said, “I don’t know if dogs go to heaven, but I want to go where they go.” As for Steve, I know he is in a better place and I will join him later because he will have the bartender trained well and there will be no umbrellas in the drinks. Sincerely, Bill Cravens
