Coates, Stanley a 50 year resident of Lawndale, passed away on Friday, September 2, 2005 in Los Angeles. Born in Ireland, Stanley was 76 when he died. Stanley had served in the Irish Navy as a young man and retired from American Airlines after more then 30 years of service. He is survived by Sisters Margaret Cathcart, Elizabeth Coates and Kathleen Stevenson of Northern Ireland and Niece, Roberta Moore of Dover, MA. Preceded in death by: Father, Adam Coates and Mother, Maria Coates. A gathering of family & friends will be at McCormick Hawthorne Chapel Tuesday, September 13, 2005 from 2 to 6 pm with a service at 3:30 pm.
