Sr. Therese Donahue

Donahue, Sister Therese, C.S.J. age 84, passed away on Monday May 16, 2016 in Torrance, California. Born June 28, 1931 in Whittier California, a Sister of St. Joseph of Carondelet since March 19, 1949. Sister Therese was an educator having ministered at both elementary, high school and college levels. She was in the first missionary group to go to Peru and ministered in Ica for eight years. She considered herself a lifetime Peruvian after that. She loved gardening and was always happy to share the "fruits and veggies of the garden" with those who visited. She is survived by her brother, Maurice Donahue and nephews, Jerry and Danny (Daniel). A Service of Remembrance will be held at the Carondelet Center in Los Angeles on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at 9:30AM with Funeral Liturgy at 10:30AM. Graveside service will be held the same day at 1:30PM at Holy Cross Cemetery in Culver City, CA.
