Decasas, Soledad Varela , an 8 year resident of Gardena, passed away on Tuesday, August 3, 2004 in Gardena. Born in Durango, CO Soledad was 81 when she died. She is survived by her Daughters, Estela Moreno, Maria Valadez and Aurelia Varela, Sons, Antonio Varela,Aurelio Varela, Jose Varela and Salvador Varela, Brothers, Anselmo Mexico Varela-Rios, Antonio Mexico Varela-Rios, Jose Mexico Varela-Rios, Juan Mexico Varela-Rios and Julio Mexico Varela-Rios and Sister Socorro Mexico Varela-Rios. She is also survived by 38 grandchildren and 42 great grandchildren. Visitation will begin Sunday August 8, at 4:00 at McCormick Mortuary in Inglewood with Vigil services at 7:00 PM at the mortuary. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 AM Monday morning, August 9, 2004 at St. Josephs Catholic Church in Hawthorne. Internment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Culver City.
