Gamboa, Socorro R. a 41 year resident of Hawthorne, passed away on Friday, October 6, 2006 in Torrance. Born in Texas, Socorro was 83 when she died. Socorro was a member of St. Catherine Laboure and she is survived by her husband, Carlos L. Gamboa, sons, Carlos Jr., Victor, Ricardo & Henry Gamboa, sisters, Yolanda Flores & Rosemary Almanza, brothers, Bobby, Isais & Gilberto Almanza, 7 grandchildren & 4 great grandchildren. A gathering of family and friends will be Tuesday, October 10, 2006, 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. with a Rosary at 7:00 P.M. both at Rice Mortuary in Torrance. The Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, October 11, 2006, 10:30 A.M. at St. Catherine Laboure Church in Torrance. Committal will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Culver City. Reception will follow the cemetery services at Rice Mortuary in Torrance.
