In Loving Memory Of Joyce Marion Seeley She was born in East Orange, New Jersey on May 26, 1931 to Raymond Gustafson and Genevieve Moranz. She lived there with her younger brother Theodore until they were in grade school. They moved to Chicago and lived there until she finished High School. She was a fan of Jerry Lewis and Dean Martin, movies, and musicals. Her family moved to California and settled in the South Bay in 1954. She met her future husband, Edward Seeley, in a Hermosa bar and they were married in November 1956. She raised four children Keith, Cindy, Chris, and Vickie on North Maria St. in Redondo Beach. She made friends with all the neighbors. Edward Seeley died suddenly leaving her a single parent of four young children in 1969. She started taking courses at El Camino College, made friends with students and faculty, then graduated with honors and an A. A. degree in 1972. She worked as an office manager for most of her career while raising four children through the 70’s & 80’s. She was mother in law to Todd Ezzell and Sue Ann Radin. She became a proud grandmother of Blake, Carissa, Amanda, and Todd Jr. She was a 50year member of TOPS in Redondo Beach and Lawndale. Some of her longest friendships were with TOPS members and she loved to go on retreats where she would make more friends. She retired to Gardena in 2003 and lived in a senior mobile home park where she made even more friends. She loved Hawaii, cruises, Disneyland, wrapping gifts in plastic bags, movies, telling people she was 16, the Galleria Mall, reading, the Rose Parade, QVC, rainbows, and driving anywhere. She passed on April 30, 2019 and she is now resting in peace with Edward, Genevieve, Raymond, Ted, Linda, and Keith.
