SHEILA ROSE RYAN BORN: January 31, 1956 DIED: March, 8, 2011 Sheila grew up in Torrance, California and attended South High School and El Camino College. She had a successful career in cardiac medicine, first working in several hospitals, and later as a clinical support and sales representative for several medical companies. Her work took her abroad for six years, living in Italy, Belgium and Israel. She moved back to the United States to work in Northern California and in Hawaii for three years. Sheila was a passionate lover of life and for people from many different countries and cultures. She created unique social gatherings and parties from small intimate settings to groups of hundreds. She studied cooking, holistic medicine and nutrition as well as having a special talent for interior design and decorating. She loved music and singing and was involved in choral groups at school and church. Sheila’s charisma and charm found her the center of attention at parties singing Irish ballads and reciting humorous poems. Sheila’s faith and deep spirituality helped her keep a positive attitude during her illness. She was not afraid of death and always spoke of life after this one. She learned to live in the moment. She is survived by her dear sister Madeline and many relatives and friends from around the world. In lieu of flowers, Madeline asks that donations be made to Providence Trinity Care Hospice or to the Caring Bridge.

  1. I remember Sheila with great fondness. I knew her when she was in the young people group at St Lawrence in the 1970’s. She was a warm and loving person with a beautiful voice. She will be missed. Carol

  2. Sheila Rose. She made me laugh many times. I thought of her when I was in LA recently and passed the church. Couldn’t get her out of my mind!
