Shaun Daniel Lewis passed away suddenly on March 25, 2018 and went to heaven at the young age of 29 years. Shaun was born on September 13, 1988. He attended St. James School, CAMS, and graduated from UC Irvine with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. At St. James Shaun was an altar server and sang in the children’s choir, and at Our Lady of Guadalupe he was a peer leader where he worked with young teens to develop their faith. Shaun spent the last seven years working at Disneyland where he was a Skipper on the Jungle Cruise, a scheduler for Adventureland and a conductor on the Disneyland Railroad. Shaun is survived by his parents Robin Potchka and Danny Lewis, his sister Casey, brother Scott, girlfriend Autumn, Aunts Jeanne and Diane, and Uncles Rick and Bob. Shaun is also survived by his niece and nephew Lexi and Owen, and his Goddaughter Carli Duda, along with many cousins, his wonderful families from Disneyland, OLG, and Akai, endless amounts of friends, his dog Quint and bird Koro. Shaun was “one hell of a man.” He was intelligent, witty, kind, caring, supportive and made an impact on so many people. He had an unending passion for movies - his memorialized Shaun Talks Movies Facebook group has close to 2,000 members. “Shaun enjoy the silver screen as you watch over everyone you loved.” We are proud and honored to call him our son, brother and friend. We love you, Shaun, and miss you terribly. A memorial service will be held on April 14th at St. James Catholic Church in Redondo Beach. A Rosary will be held at 9:30am followed by the service at 10:00am, with a reception to follow in the church hall. The family will hold a private burial at a separate time at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please go watch a movie and share your critique on Shaun Talks Movies. The page will stay active in his honor.
