On Sunday, April 30th, 2017, Scott Christopher Gaisford died at the young age of 33. Scott was born on March 10, 1984 in Torrance CA and was the third of four sons born to Robert and Kathryn Gaisford. From the day he was born, he brought joy to his family. As a young boy he played several sports including baseball, basketball, and soccer, truly enjoying life. Scott always did great in school, getting good grades as it all came very easy to him, helping him to obtain the honor of Valedictorian of his 8th grade class. He went on to attend and graduate from Bishop Montgomery High School where he played baseball and his true passion, soccer. A true sports fan was an understatement when describing Scott. He loved the Lakers, Dodgers, and the Raiders. You could also catch him watching WWE, Soccer, or enjoying the tradition of watching Die Hard (Scott would argue the best Christmas movie) with his mom at Christmas. His favorite time was the time spent with his brothers talking about or watching sports, laughing, making jokes and just enjoying hanging out with them. Scott was smart, charming, funny and could make everyone around him laugh, often telling people he was the best looking guy in the room. Scott is survived by his father Robert, his mother Kathryn, older brother Adam (Jessica), younger brother Curt (Francesca), "brother" and best friend Steven Ross, nephew Jared, nieces Alaina and Isabella and many cousins, all of whom he loved very much. Scott was preceded in death by his oldest brother, Alan. While Scott's family grieves, they thank those who cared for Scott through the years. When remembering Scott remember him for his smile, laughter, sense of humor, passion for life, his love of music, sports and his love for his family and friends. Scott, will never be forgotten, always missed and forever loved. Services will be on Monday, May 8th, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Rice Mortuary, 5310 Torrance Blvd., Torrance CA 90503. Reception to immediately follow.
