June 11, 1910 ~ August 12, 2003
Sarah Louise Sargent, 93, resident of Manhattan Beach for 32 years, entered into eternal life on Tuesday, August 12, 2003. Born in Southern California, Louise devoted her life to her family, but also found time for many years of volunteer work. Always willing to share her all with family members, Louise also generously opened her home for occupancy to many of her friends-in-need, throughout her long life. An avid walker until very late in life, Louise loved to travel, especially those overseas trips on which she introduced her grandchildren to other cultures. She also loved tennis, which she played well into her 80's. Louise, wife of William H. Sargent (deceased) is survived by her children (Bill, Sharon, Jack and Mike), 14 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and leaves behind a legacy of love and generosity. Visitation will be Monday, August 18, 2003, 4:00PM- 8:00PM with Vigil services begining at 7:00PM at White & Day Mortuary, 3251 Sepulveda, Manhattan Beach. Holy Mass for Louise will be celebrated Tuesday, August 19, 2003, 9:30AM at American Martyrs Catholic Church, 624 15th Street, Manhattan Beach. Interment will follow services at Calvary Cemetery, 4201 Whittier Blvd., Los Angeles.

Gram was fun and feisty, and loved us unconditionally. She will be a great loss in my life, and was a wonderful inspiration to me. Mikey and I are blessed and grateful to have been with her last month.
I wonderful lady .She had a lot of get up and go .A Loyal friend. She has left many wondeful memories. May we all be as lucky.
