Sarah LaVerne Harris was born June 28, 1956 to Rose Mae Jackson and Johnnie Harris in Jackson, Mississippi. She departed this life on January 14, 2019 at the age of sixty-two. The Lord called her name and told her to walk into the gates of Heaven. She and her family moved to Los Angeles in 1969 where she graduated from J. C. Fremont High School. Sarah was the beloved mother of two sons Dedreck Ricky Harris Sr. and Romon Darnell Harris and grandmother of five grandchildren. Sarah will be sadly missed by her mother Rose M. Jackson, her siblings Jessie James William Sr., Bernice Elaine Harris, Stephanie Harris, Robert Earl Harris Sr. and one step-brother and sister Lavella and Eddie Williams; her aunt Betty Jean Holmes and uncle Leotha Jones. Her father Johnnie Harris, sister Dorothy Ann Jones, grandfather Leroy Jones Sr., grandmother Lucille Jones, aunt Lessie Mae Rollins, uncles Leroy Jones Jr., Earnest Jones, they all preceded her in death. She also leaves to cherish her memories; a host of nephews and nieces, James Booker Jr., Lorenzo Harris, Cornelius Harris, Andre Harris, Nicholas Booker, Darryl Harris, Robert Harris Jr., Deshawn Buttler, Jessie James Williams Jr., Chelyea Wren, Lessie Jones, Malcom Cosey, LaTasha Williams, Lajuan Booker, Jayden Harris, Shyeast Harris, as well as a host of second generation of twenty plus nephews and nieces, As well as a host of treasured friends.
