Carreiro, Rudolph W. ''Rudy'', 48 year resident of Redondo Beach, passed away on Tuesday, August 26, 2003 in Redondo Beach. Born in Fall River, MA, Rudolph was 80 when he died. Rudolph had served in the Navy on the ''USS Roper'' during World War II. He was a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service in Redondo Beach for 35 years. He was also a member of Catholic Golden Agers and Knights of Columbus. He is survived by Sons, John Carreiro of Long Beach, CA, and Paul Carreiro of El Camino Village, CA. Daughters, Anne Carreiro of Wilmington, CA, and Cathy Carreiro of Mission Viejo, CA, Also survived by brothers, Edward Carreiro of Norfolk, VA. and Norman Carreiro of New Bern, NC. Visitation will begin at 5 pm until the Vigil service which will be at 7 Pm on Friday, August 29, 2003 at the Rice Mortuary Chapel. Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 AM on Saturday , August 30, 2003, at the St. James Catholic Church in Redondo Beach. Private interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Culver City. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Parkinsons Foundation.
