On 5 Jan. 05, Ruby Lucille Vulich passed away peacefully at a Nursing Home in Signal Hill, Ca., from complications following a heart attack she suffered four months ago. Ruby was 84 years of age. Ruby was born July 13, 1920, in the town of Caruthers, Ca., to the late David and Anna Fitzgerald. She was a lifelong resident of California, and for the past 15 years lived in Redondo Beach with her son Jim, and Grandson Richard. She was a loving mother and grandmother, and together with her oldest son Jim, raised her grandson Richard who recently graduated from UCLA. Ruby had a great sense of humor which was recently expressed when she received a pet fish from her daughter and gave it the name ''FishGerald'', in a humorous reference to her maiden name. She is survived by her second husband, Steve Vulich of Fresno. Ruby was previously married to the late Avis Ethridge of Fresno. To this marriage were born two sons, James and Gary. To the marriage of Ruby and Steve were born one daughter, Valerie, and two sons, Christopher and Bruce. She is further survived by one brother, Porter, sisters Bonnie, Loyce, and Joyce, seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by a brother, Elwood, and a sister, Elva. Funeral services will be held graveside at Belmont Memorial Park in Fresno, Calif., on 14 Jan. 2005 (Friday) at 2PM.
