It is with a heavy, yet full, heart that we announce the passing of Rosie (Jimenez) Molina. Rosie was born on January 16, 1927 in Dominguez Hills, CA to Pedro and Bernardina (Avila) Jimenez. Rosie passed into eternal life on March 15, 2019 in Torrance, CA, she was 92. In 1948, Rosie married Manuel Molina (deceased) in Los Angeles, CA. She is predeceased by her siblings: Jennie DeLeon, Martin Jimenez, and Virginia Maciejewski. Rosie was an active member of her community. She enjoyed her membership and service to the Gardena Sister City Association and the Cactus Club. Often she could be found enjoying the dances at the Wilmington and Gardena VFW. Rosie Molina was loved by many, including many loved nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. She is survived by her daughter Gloria (Chris) Mazzocco, granddaughter Monica (Rodrigo) Souza, great-granddaughter Sofia Rose, her grandson Matthew (Lisa) Mazzocco, and her brothers Salvador Jimenez, and John Jimenez. While we mourn her passing and reconcile her loss in our lives we remember her fondly for her quick wit and her unrelenting sass. Rosie was an impeccable homemaker-a source of pride for her-and a gifted baker, seamstress and gardener. Above all, Rosie was a woman of faith. She remained close to Christ and the sacraments of His church, even receiving the grace of the Sacrament of the Sick shortly before He called her to Him. It is because of this faith and trust in the Mercy of God that we can hope that she now rests in heaven and we remember her with love and gratitude for the blessing of her life in ours. Guests are encouraged to wear colored clothing to the services.
