Rosie Lee Crown was born December 20, 1932 to Romie and Lizzie Carter Grant in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Rosie attended Bay Springs High School where she graduated in April, 1951. She continued her education and later obtained her Elementary Professional License for the State of Mississippi Department of Public Education in 1954. Rosie moved to Los Angeles, California in 1956. She spent most of her years caring for her family and home. However, for many years Rosie taught for the Heads Start program here in Los Angeles. Rosie is preceded in death by her husband Henry Crown, and her brothers Howard Grant and Romie Grant, Jr. Rosie leaves to cherish her memory a loving son Dennis Bolton, brother Arthur Grant and his wife Viola Grant, brother Claude Grant and his wife Edith Grant and a multitude of nieces and nephews.
