Rose Mahakian

Rose Mahakian May 16, 1930- February 11, 2013 Rose Mahakian, a fifty year resident of Rancho Palos Verdes passed away peacefully in her sleep, with her husband at her side. Rose was born in West Allis, Wisconsin, the daughter of Adam and Takohi Sarian, survivors of the Armenian Genocide. She married Harry, the love of her life, on June 27, 1948. This June, they would have celebrated sixty-five years of marriage. Rose is survived by her husband, Harry, daughter Sari (Edmond) Vartanian of Redondo Beach, daughter Jane (John) Boyajian of San Clemente and daughter Lauren (Thomas) Spiglanin of Rancho Palos Verdes. She was the loving Grandmother of David and Lauren Vartanian, Adam Boyajian and Arianna Spiglanin. She is also survived by sister Anne Banerian of Denver, Colorado and brother Peter Sarian of Palm Desert. She was preceded in passing by her beloved daughter, Linda, who died in a tragic accident in 1962 and her brother, George Sarian. We will always remember her selfless love and devotion to her family, and will love and miss her forever. Services will be private.
