Rose
Rose Jacobson passed away at the age of 86. All obituaries say that so and so died and was such a 'good person', but if that was true - how is it that we still have so much trouble in the world? Indeed, if everyone was as 'good' as Rose was and lived their life as she did, the world would literally be without problems. She was not unlike a 'good' Midas in that anyone whose life she touched would experience their heart turning to gold while in her glowing presence. Each individual would come away richer, with a special gift that came directly from her generous spirit. On her 'shoe-string' budget she managed to visit her many friends and family all over the country and even managed over a half-dozen trips to Europe in her twilight years. Wherever she went people gravitated to her radiantly kind spirit. She is survived by her four children Alan Jacobson of Rochester, NY, Philip Rubinov-Jacobson of Tucson, AZ, Jessica (Ray) Hale of Santa Barbara and David (Laurie) Jacobson of Tucson, AZ; grandchildren Juliet (Kyle) Hunt, Israel Brookbank, Lena Walker, Jade Walker, Shira Jacobson, Samuel Jacobson, Yosef Jacobson and Joshua Jacobson; great-grandchildren Ethan and Tessa Rose Hunt, Aden and Cash Watson; sister-in-laws Anna Isaac, Norma Moskowitz and Leah Bortnick; brother-in-law Abe Jacobson; her twin sisters' daughters Linda Silverman and Janice Wallis; along with niece Shelley Moskowitz and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Memorial Services will be held tomorrow, Saturday, June 19th at 2:00pm in the afternoon at Rice Mortuary, 5310 Torrance Blvd, Torrance, CA 90503 310-792-7599. Reception will follow in Rice's Lighthouse Reception Room. In lieu of flowers family asks that donations be made in Rose's memory to the Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program at Providence Little Company of Mary Hospital, 4101 Torrance Blvd. Torrance, CA 90503.

  1. I was so saddened to learn of Rose’s passing. Her beautiful smile and good nature were infectious. We will always remember what a good friend and how kind she was to my mother, Virginia Martin, her neighbor. With sympathy to you all.
