Roberta (Bobbie) Ann Ritch went to be with her Lord on July 10, 2017, in Del Aire, CA at the age of 64. Roberta is survived by her sisters Thone Ritch, Sheila (John) Hofsaess, Sharon Stowe, brother Herald (Linda) Ritch, nephews T.J. Sibley, Seth Ritch, Robin (Delphine) Chance and Christopher (Lisa) Stowe, nieces Eleanor (Michael) Ritch Galatioto and Caroline (Lion) Limuti, as well as seven grandnieces, five grandnephews, and one great-grandnephew. Roberta was preceded in death by her parents Herald Ritch and Caroline Lillevold Ritch of Del Aire, CA, and nephew Marc Stowe of Crosslake, MN. Roberta was born on July 8, 1953 in Inglewood, CA. She graduated from Fullerton University, and taught kindergarten at Trinity Lutheran School in Hawthorne, CA for 32 years. She was loved and appreciated by her students, and had the distinct privilege of teaching multiple generations as her students grew up to send their own children to Trinity to be taught by “Ms. Ritch.” Roberta lived out Jesus’ command to: “Let the little children come to me, and forbid them not for such is the kingdom of heaven.” Matt. 19:14. Roberta was a long-time speaker at Christian Business Women’s Council, and was known for her love for Jesus, and her knowledge, wit, and dramatic flair. Roberta loved to travel. She loved Agatha Christie novels, Disneyland, and Jeopardy! Her knowledge of historical facts, 60s and 70s song lyrics, church hymns, and I Love Lucy quotes was unsurpassed. She will be greatly missed by family and friends. We will remember her always. A funeral service is scheduled for July 22, 2017 at 9 a.m. at Green Hills Memorial Park Chapel, Rancho Palos Verdes. For reception information please contact Rice Mortuary (310)792-7599. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wounded Warrior Project.
