Robert S. Hassan

Robert Saul Hassan, born January 10, 1936 in Brooklyn, New York. He graduated from Brooklyn City College and received a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering from NYU. In California, he worked for Lockheed and later Rockwell International. He loved the outdoors and traveling. He leaves his wife, Gene Hassan; stepsons, John Cotner and Jim Cotner; Stepdaughters, Laura Liedlke, Carol Thompson; sons Larry & Paul Strauss, daughter Amy Honeywell, and many young grandchildren. His sister Jeanne Lord lives in Philadelphia, his brother Norman Hassan in Brooklyn, NY. He also leaves two nephews and a niece. He will be greatly missed by all. Funeral services will be Saturday, October 4, 2003, 1:00PM at St. Cross Episcopal Church in Hermosa Beach. Interment will follow services at Green Hills Memorial Park in Rancho Palos Verdes. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Nature Conservancy, 4245 N. Fairfax Drive, Suite 100, Arlington, VA 22203-1606.
