Robert John Schenz BOB LOS ANGELES - Mr. Robert John Schenz, who worked as an executive for the Los Angeles Dodgers died Monday, June 12, 2006 at 8:15am at St. Luke Memorial Hospital in Houston, Texas due to complications from lung cancer. He was 83. His life will be celebrated with a funeral mass at Visitation Catholic Church in Westchester, California at 10am on Monday June 19. His burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery. Bob Schenz was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. In his early twenties he moved to Los Angeles where he worked for United Airlines. In 1961, Bob met Walter O'Malley who subsequently hired him as the Director of Transportation for the Dodgers. During his 27 years with the Dodgers he also acted as Director for Ticket Sales and the Stadium Club. Bob retired in 1988. A man of great integrity, Bob was predeceased by his wife of 48 years, Darlene, his older brother Charles, and parents Catherine and Charles Schenz. Bob is survived by sister, Margie Davis of Cincinnati, Ohio, daughter, Debra Sue Knickrehm, son-in-law, Matthew Knickrehm and his four grandchildren; Michael, Theresa, Susan and Robert.
