Robert (Bob) Hydro was born March 30, 1955 in Santa Monica, CA to Caroline and Steven Hydro, who preceded him in death. Bob lived in Venice, California where he went to grade school and Venice High School. Fishing was Bob's favorite past time. He also worked part time at Turners Outdoors in Signal Hill, California. Bob kept his family and friends supplied with fresh fish and he also baked cookies for friends at work. Bob met Margarita Rodriguez while working at L3 Communications. They were married on March 30, 1985 and later moved to Carson, California where they have lived for 22 years. Bob leaves, to cherish his memory, his loving wife Margarita, and children Gino Rodriguez of Aloha, OR, Michele Rodriguez of Norwalk, CA, Stephanie Rodriguez of Carson, CA, seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. Brothers Edward Hydro of Torrance, CA, John Hydro of Gardena, CA, Ronald Hydro of Gardena, CA, Steve Hydro of Torrance, CA, Sisters: Nancy Castenada of Palmdale, CA, Sarah Hydro of Torrance, CA, and Shirley Hydro of Culver City, CA and many nieces, nephews, uncles and cousins. A gathering of family & friends will be held from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Saturday, March 15th with a vigil service at 7:00 pm both at the Rice Mortuary Chapel in Torrance, CA. Mass of Christian burial will l be held at St. Catherine Laboure Catholic Church on Monday, March 17th at 12 Noon.

  15. To the Hydro Family, With Heartfelt Sympathy in this time of sorrow. I had the pleasure of knowing Bob for over 20 years. Bob will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He was a good, kind hearted person, and truly a nice guy. I enjoyed having conversations with him at work, I especially enjoyed his fishing stories and also enjoyed hearing about his new hobby of metal detecting on the beach.   16. Dear Bobby There is no words in this world to describe the pain as a family we are feeling now. I know your mind and your soul were strong as a tree, but your body was just sick. I willn’t think of you as gone, just painting the house again for 90th time or simply gone fishing. Thank you for being there as a big brother always is and helping me.
