Robert ''Fuzzy''
Sjodin, Robert L. ''Fuzzy'', a 47 year resident of Torrance passed away on Monday, Novermber 24, 2003. Born May 2, 1927 in Aitkin, MN. he was 76. He served in the U.S. Navy (Guam) during WWII. After the war he went to college and later worked for the United States Post Office. He met and later married his wife of 51 years Betty in Brainerd, MN. They moved to El Segundo, CA in 1952 and then to Torrance where they lived for 47 years. He worked for Chevron Oil Refinery in El Segundo and retired in 1984 with 31 years of service. He was an outstanding bowler, a life member of the Lomita VFW, a member of the American Legion and of St. James Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife, Betty Sjodin; daughters, Pam Teysko, Teri Holloway and Cathi Sjodin; son, Greg Sjodin; granddaughters, Shannon Holloway and Leslie Teysko; grandson, Shawn Holloway; son-in-laws, Ken Teysko and Mark Holloway; brother, Danny Sjodin; sisters, Ethel Stimac and Alice Vivian. He was preceded in death by his parents Olaf and Signa Sjodin, four brothers and two sisters. Per Robert's request a private Memorial Mass was held Friday, November 28, 2003 at St. James Catholic Church in Redondo Beach.
