Buker, Richard Ray a 48 year resident of Hawthorne passed away on Friday, January 17, 2003 in Perris, CA. Born in Farnhan, NE, Richard was 54. He served in the Army during Vietnam. He had been a truck driver for PSC (formerly Rho-Chem) for over 22 years. He is survived by his beloved wife Mary Buker of Hawthorne, CA; son Kristopher Buker of Orange, CA; father Frank (Nancy) Buker of Battlefield, MO; mother Ruth Hills of Roseville, CA; along with sisters Rogene Fox of Sacramento, Nita Coleman of Bouse, AZ, Doris Wegner of Prospect, OR, Stephanie (Mark) Fergerson of Clovis, CA, Donna Miller of Missouri and brother Erick Buker of Battlefield, MO. Memorial Services will be held Saturday, February 1, 2003 at 1:00 PM at Rice Mortuary, 5310 Torrance Blvd. in Torrance.   1. Rick was one of the friendliest guys I ever met. It was always a joy seeing him at El Porto and surfing with him. It\’s a shame his life had to end so early.
