Richard "Guy" Fernandez December 19, 1939 - October 19, 2010 Long time South Bay resident, Guy passed away October 19, 2010. His sisters, Sue Dinich, Esther Wood and Patty Cuppy will dearly miss him. Guy was caring and a most giving person. Everyone loved him. Guy was a proud owner of a 1965 Mustang. His "Horse" was entered in many classic car shows and won many trophies. Guy will be greatly missed by his extended Fernandez family and many friends. We love you, Guy. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, October 22, 2010 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at White & Day Colonial Mortuary in Redondo Beach. The Mass will be held on Monday, October 25, 2010 at 10:00 am at St. James Catholic Church.

Guy will be missed, our family has known the Fernandez family for 70 years,and my brother David and Guy hung out together, Guy had a wonderful disposition and was loved by all, his passion was hot rods and he and his uncle Frank and cousins were often seen at area car shows with their beautiful cars. May he rest in peace and may his family take heart in the knowledge that Guy lived a beautiful life and will never be forgotten by us. Manuel Banuelos

  5. Guy was on my mind recently I’m sad to hear about his passing. He was the best step dad to us always having family trips camping and he loved Busch gardens. He let me sneak a puff of his cigar in that mustang. I cherish my pics of him.
