Ray "Archie" Archambault was born on December 18, 1925 and went to eternal rest on Saturday, January 23, 2010. He is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years, Dottie and his son, Danny, daughter-in-law, Jacquie and grandchildren Christina and Anthony. Ray was born in Taftville, Connecticut. He worked as a commercial fisherman in New Bedford, Mass and was a proud veteran of the Army during the time of the Korean War. He owned Archie's Barber Shop in El Segundo for 43 years, was a member of the Redondo Beach Knights of Columbus for 60 years, the Northrop Rock and Mineral Club, and the Moose Lodge. Ray volunteered as an usher at St. James Catholic Church for over 40 years. His hobbies were golf, movies and reading and spending time with his family. He was known to his family and friends for his great story telling and hearty laugh and warm heart. A rosary will be held at 9:30am followed by a funeral mass on Tuesday, February 2nd at 10 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church, located at Pacific Coast Hwy, Redondo Beach, CA 90277.
