Wilson, Ramona Gayle Passed away March 27, 2006 in Torrance. Born June 5, 1929 in Atkinson, Nebraska and moved to the South Bay in 1949. She was a 51 year resident of Torrance, where she lovingly raised her four children. She is survived by her son Bill (Brenda) Hargrave of San Pedro; son Gary II (Sonya) Wilson of Anaheim; daughter Vicki (Bob) Suraci of Hermosa Beach; Son Kelly (Janine) Wilson of Redondo Beach; grandsons, Robbie, John, Cody, Gary III, Casey, William and Chet; granddaughters, Stephanie (Gerard) Van belle, Ashley, Stacey, Deanna, Trisha and Gayle; great grandson, Gerrit. Preceded in death by husband Gary Wilson. After he died, she took over All Fire, the family business with her sons Gary and Kelly. On weekends she tended her beloved rose garden which Gary planted for her over 30 years ago. She took great pride in setting up her Christmas village for her grandchildren. She loved going out to eat with her friends on the weekends and looked forward to their outings. She especially loved her grandchildren and cared deeply about their success. We will celebrate her life at a memorial service on Saturday, April 1, 2006 at Rice Mortuary in Torrance at 9:00 A.M. A reception will follow in Rice's Lighthouse Reception Room.

  1. A girl couldn’t ask for a better mother-in-law. Ramona always welcomed me with open arms and a strong hug. I thank God we had her for the time we did and that her Grandchildren got the chance to know and love her. Ramona you will live on in our hearts until we meet again.
