Ramon
Born March 1, 1946 in the hills of Lazaro, Municipal of Tamazula , Jalisco, Mexico. Started his Artistic Career in Mexico singing at the age of 13, with the orchestra La Garita, than with the trio, Los Tres Amigos, and were contracted to do serenta. Also sang as soloist with the Group Ipacarai, La garita in Guadalajara. In 1965 moved to California, U.S.a. From 1966-to1973 sang in theaters and Catholic Churches. in 1975 sang with Mariachi Los Jilgueros in Stockton, California in programs of radio, and television. Recorded his first record with the songs '' Al Compa de Las Guitarras'' y '' Al Llegar la Alborada'', with success in California and in northern Mexico. In 1988 recorded his second record with the songs ''Cuando Se Quere de Veras'' ( his compositions ), and '' Me Salve de Milagro''. He continued performing in different events, Sabado Gigante Channel 34 with Don Francisco in Miami, Florida, Cinco de Mayo events, including the city of Gardena, in the coronation of the Queen, In 1988 participated at the cinco De Mayo Fiesta, with the Mariachi Azteca under the direction of Conrado Mejia at the Southwest College, Los Angeles. He sadly departed this life on September 11, 2003, but leaves behind to cherish his memory, wife, Mary, sons, Gabriel and Ramon, daughter-in-law, Mary and three grandchildren: Andrew, Brittany and Nathan. Visitation will be held Monday, September 15 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Rice Mortuary, 5310 Torrance Blvd. in Torrance. Vigil Services will be held Monday, Sept. 15 at 6:30 PM at St. Catherine Laboure Catholic Church, 3846 W. Redondo Beach Blvd. in Torrance. Celebration of Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, September 16 at 10:00 AM at St. Catherine Laboure. Entombment will follow at Pacific Crest Cemetery in Redondo Beach.

  2. Ramon was my uncle, and an angel to many of us. His soul was filled with so much love for everyone around him. He will be greatly missed and always loved. My fondest memory will always be his strong voice. Wherever you are tio, keep on singing!

  3. MY UNCLE RAMON WAS A VERY GOOD MAN. I WILL NEVER FORGET HIM. HE WAS MORE THAN AN UNCLE TO US HE WAS LIKE A FATHER. I FEEL HAPPY FOR HIM AS HE IS REUNITED WITH HIS MOM AND DAD AND HIS BROTHER AND TWO SISTERS. I WILL MISS HIM SO MUCH BUT I KNOW I WILL SOME DAY SEE HIM AGAIN ALONG WITH MY DAD.
