Ramon B. Layug, passed away in the morning of March 2, 2021 at his home at Inglewood, California. He was 73 years old, and is survived by his loving wife, Teresita, their children, Regie, Elaine, Carla and Mark, grandchildren, and a host of families and friends.
He was born on November 18, 1947 to Apolonio and Virginia B. Layug in Pampanga, Philippines. He obtained his degree of Bachelors of Science in Accountancy and received several citations for his outstanding contributions when he worked at the Traffic Management Office, 3d Transportation Squadron, United States Air Force at Clark Air Base, Philippines.
Ramon or also referred as “Koyang Mon” was a devout Catholic, a voracious reader, a perfectionist even in the mundane, and a non-lexical vocables singer when he was happy, i.e., “la, la, la” or “ho, ho, ho”. He had the distinctive and uncanny personality of being humble, calm and gentle which most men of his time could be found wanting. It was his remarkable personas of kindness and selflessness for his family and towards people that brought him so much love in return and will always have a special place in the hearts of everyone who knew him.
Family and friends are welcomed to attend mass and memorial services which will be held on the 27th of March, 2021, 10:00 am. at St. John Chrysostom Church in Inglewood, California.
