Phyllis
Jacklin, Phyllis May. On January 1, 2009 a beautiful, kind and loving spirit left this world peacefully and gracefully just as she had lived her life. Born in 1926 in Mason City, Iowa, she moved to southern California in the 1950s with her young family, settling first in the south bay and eventually moving to Huntington Beach in 1980. She loved living in California, traveling, and being near her family. In the early 90s she bought a second home in Arizona and became a snowbird. She loved "the season" in the southwest and enjoyed new friends and adventures. Her famous, captivating smile emanating from within was her gift to all. Her beauty and grace, her unwavering faith, and her incredible inner strength will forever be a treasured inspiration to her life partner, Dolores, and her loving family: son Mark, daughter Heidi, son-in-law Greg, granddaughter Megan, grandsons Chad, Joe, and Joshua, sister Sandy, nieces Tina and Carol, and great nephew and niece Matthew and Callie. Services will be held at White and Day Colonial Mortuary, 901 Torrance Blvd., Redondo Beach, CA 90277 on 1/7/09 at 4:00 pm and 1/8/09 at 11:00 am.

  1. Our beautiful, smiling, humorous and loving Fiddy. You will be in our hearts forever. We love you and miss you.

  2. I only spent a short time with Fiddy and DeeDee in AJ, but I enjoyed their hospitality and their excitement to be in AJ and meeting new friends. Fiddy was a beautiful lady, and I know she will be missed.

  3. I’ll always remember her contagious smile and wonderful sense of humor. This world is so much the better for Fidde having been here. My condolences to her life’s partner and to her family.
